Pamlico County Volleyball Sweeps Living Water Christian in Dominant 3-0 Road Win

BAYBORO — The Pamlico County Hurricanes volleyball team bounced back in impressive fashion Thursday night, sweeping Living Water Christian 3-0 in a non-conference match in Jacksonville.

The Hurricanes controlled the match from the opening serve, taking the sets 25-5, 25-12 and 25-5.

Junior outside hitter Bella Ann Schulz led the attack with an efficient 8 kills on just 9 attempts for a .889 hitting percentage. Sophomore setter Evie Lang distributed the ball well with 14 assists and added 6 service aces. Senior Ehren Rolle anchored the defense with a team-high 9 digs, while senior Hayden Gibbs-Ireland contributed 4 kills.

Pamlico finished with 23 kills, 21 service aces, 29 digs and 21 assists as a team. Sydney Whitley-Reese added 2 solo blocks, and Avery Hettinger chipped in 3 aces.

The win improves Pamlico County to 2-1 on the young season. The Hurricanes opened with a 3-1 victory over Havelock on Tuesday before falling 0-3 at Swansboro on Wednesday.

Living Water Christian drops the non-conference decision. Full stats for the Warriors were not available.

Pamlico County will look to build on the strong serving and balanced attack as the early schedule continues.
