Jones Senior Soccer Rolls Past Ambleside Prep 7-2

TRENTON, N.C. — The Jones Senior Trojans boys soccer team continued its strong start to the season with a 7-2 non-conference victory over Ambleside Preparatory Academy on Monday night.

Jones Senior led 2-0 at halftime and poured on five more goals in the second half to secure the win. The Trojans improved to 3-0, while Ambleside fell to 0-2.

Kevin Sanchez led the way for Jones Senior with three goals and one assist. Joseph Sanchez added one goal and three assists. Goalkeeper Jesstin Crump made seven saves in the victory.

For Ambleside, Jordan Coghill and Will Batchelor each scored a goal.

Jones Senior will host Rosewood on Wednesday, August 19, as it looks to extend its perfect record.
