Pamlico County Volleyball Sweeps Bear Grass Charter for Third Win

BAYBORO, N.C. — The Pamlico County Hurricanes girls volleyball team earned a solid 3-0 non-conference victory over Bear Grass Charter on Monday night at home.

Pamlico County took the sets 25-20, 25-20 and 25-22 to improve to 3-1 on the season. Bear Grass Charter fell to 0-3.

Outside hitter Avery Hettinger led the Hurricanes with 12 kills. Lila Mehring posted a strong .400 hitting percentage, while Sydney Whitley-Reese added 2 total blocks.

As a team, Pamlico County finished with 43 kills, 8 service aces, 3 total blocks, 62 digs and 37 assists.
