Jacksonville Volleyball Defeats Havelock 3-1 in Non-Conference Match

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. — The Jacksonville Cardinals girls volleyball team earned a 3-1 non-conference victory over Havelock on Monday night at home.

Havelock took the opening set 25-18, but Jacksonville responded by winning the next three sets 25-19, 25-12 and 25-13. 

Senior outside hitter Lakota Flatt led Jacksonville with a match-high 17 kills and hit an impressive .536. Junior middle blocker Ava Meyrand added 5 kills on perfect hitting (1.000) and contributed 4 total blocks.

As a team, Jacksonville finished with 45 kills, 11 service aces, 10 total blocks, 87 digs and 43 assists.
