Havelock Volleyball Sweeps West Craven for First Win of the Season

VANCEBORO, N.C. — The Havelock Rams girls volleyball team earned their first victory of the season with a solid 3-0 non-conference win over West Craven on Thursday night.

Havelock took the sets 25-23, 25-20 and 25-20 to improve to 1-3. West Craven fell to 1-4.

The Rams controlled the match after a competitive first set, pulling away in the final two frames. Individual statistics were not available for Havelock at press time, while West Craven was led by Sophia Sutton with 13 kills. Lauren Nichols hit .500 with 3 kills, and Carlee Stilley added 4 total blocks.

As a team, West Craven finished with 25 kills, 7 service aces, 4 total blocks, 64 digs and 23 assists.
