West Craven runs past Wilson Prep 27-6 for first win of the season

WILSON — West Craven got the first win of the Dom Guglielmo era the old-fashioned way.
The Eagles beat Wilson Prep Academy 27-6 on Thursday, rushing for 228 yards and four touchdowns in a non-conference road game.
Person Jr. tops 100
Sophomore quarterback Christopher Person Jr. led the attack with 19 carries for 108 yards and a touchdown. He also completed 4 of 11 passes for 31 yards.
The rest of the backfield finished the job:
- Xavier Cuthbertson: 5 carries, 65 yards (13.0 average), 1 rushing TD; 3 catches, 26 yards; 1 two-point conversion
- Terrell Dixon: 6 carries, 31 yards, 1 TD
- Bryson Petersen: 5 carries, 24 yards, 1 TD
Four different Eagles scored on the ground. Cuthbertson added 112 all-purpose yards. Person Jr. finished with 139 total yards. The team had 259 yards of offense and 328 all-purpose yards. Philip Snyder was 1-for-2 on extra points.
The Eagles will be back in action on Friday, September 4th taking on New Bern at New Bern.
